I’m Marlene.

How it all began

It all started when my children were born. I dreamed of creating a soft, warm space for their bedrooms, but I couldn’t find the cosy feel I had in mind anywhere. So, quite simply, I decided to create it myself.

Encouraged by my loved ones, I began creating illustrations for their children too. Safari, woodland, ocean… little by little, a collection took shape. And that is how Les Aquarelles de Marlene was born in 2021.

I invite you to explore my world — I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it!

From my studio in Provence, I personally draw, pack and dispatch every order.

Why I do this

Because children’s rooms change so quickly.

The first days, the first nights, the first birthdays… everything goes by in a flash.

So I wanted to create illustrations that stay with you. Prints that are kept for years, the kind you come across again one day with a smile and think: “It used to hang just above her bed.” 🧡

What you’ll find here

Gentle animal illustrations, educational prints and personalised creations… everything is carefully designed and painted by hand in watercolour.

Each design first comes to life on paper, then is printed with the greatest care on premium textured paper that captures the feel of the original. Because an illustration should be just as beautiful up close as it is from afar.

My promises

Real illustrations. No mass-produced generated images and no AI here. Every collection begins with a pencil, a paintbrush and plenty of time. I keep drawing until every detail feels just right.

Made in France. All prints are made in Provence. I prepare every order myself before it is dispatched — no warehouse on the other side of the world.

Gifts with meaning. A birth, a birthday, a christening, a pregnancy announcement… or simply the wish to make someone happy 🥰. I love knowing that my creations are part of a family’s most precious moments.

I love personalisation. Adding a name, creating an animal family that feels like yours, imagining a one-of-a-kind illustration… every personalised order tells a different story. It is probably my favourite part of the job.

Behind every order

When you place an order, your illustration does not leave a huge factory. It comes directly to me.

I check the print, prepare the frame, pack your order with care and send it out as if it were for someone close to me. Because I know it is about to become part of your home — and that makes me so happy!
